Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear friends,
Development for Gorna Lipnitsa Association together with Gorna Lipnitsa municipality is organizing The Оld School residency – 2012, in Gorna Lipnitsa village, Bulgaria. For one week the building of the ex-school will shelter artists from different nations, who will make art together with the idea of working in a new, unordinary place.
In the upcoming event, painters, sculptors, photographers, musicians, and other artists can take part. The participants will be chosen by committee.
The disciplines for 2012 are:

5 Wall-painting and restoration
6 Music
7 Curatorial
8 Architecture
9 Literature
10 Short movies
Development for Gorna Lipnitsa Association provides working places, sleeping places, food, materials for work and translators (if needed). The art residence has six indoor workshops – for painting, wood sculpture, photo studio, movie and concerts place and also an outdoor area for work.
Expenses paid by artist: travelling to Gorna Lipnitsa

THE END AS A BEGINNING:
GORNA LIPNITSA AND THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD, 2012.
The artists` work in the art residence will be organized by materials in which will be represented three parallels of beliefs for the end of the world in 2012:
- Local beliefs.
- Bulgarian beliefs.
- World beliefs.
The residence will have interesting parallel program again, connected with the idea of THE END AS A BEGINNING, which will also represent the Russian futurism art movement that took place 100 years ago and its representatives – Burliuk, Mayakovski, Khlebnikov, Livshits, Kruchenykh, etc.

Each candidate should send us:
– short CV;
– the name of the chosen discipline;
– an actual internet link with works, portfolio or pictures of works;
Number of participants: up to ten artists
