The Old School Art Residency invites you to an exhibition by Helen Pavli – a guest artist from London, UK.
What happens when you slow down for a while, spend time on your own, and begin to notice the things you don’t usually have time to see?
Tomorrow, 28 August, at 6 p.m., The Old School Art Residency in Gorna Lipnitsa will present the work created by Helen Pavli during her time here.
Reflecting on the work she created during her residency, Helen shares:
“During my residency, I slowed down to explore what is hidden across different mediums.
In my visual art, I created two projects: one using collage to layer old papers, artifacts, and flowers, and a second figurative series where often a solo figure merges into the natural world. Alongside this, I used the quiet time to write, composing a new series of songs that are currently in development. Together, these projects weave history, landscape, and sound to capture the deep stillness of solitude while here in Gorna Lipnitsa.”

About Helen Pavli
Helen Pavli is a London-based artist and singer-songwriter. Her work explores themes of nature, beauty and fragmentation through painting and mixed media. Drawing inspiration from flowers and the landscape, she moves between observation and abstraction to explore memory, transformation and personal narrative.
Through gesture, layering and experimentation, her work reflects on cycles of growth, decay and renewal, while questioning our complex relationship with the natural world.
