On 20th May 2010 was the deadline for applying for participation in the Old School residency which will be held from 24 to 31 August 2010 in Gorna Lipnitsa village.

The invitation was published in the website of Gorna Lipnitsa, in Facebook -http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=100000708489424and also in the website of the worldwide organization Res Artis. This organization is established in 1993 and unites art residencies and more than 200 centers for art in 50 different countries, stimulating the artists from all over the world to make art. The Development for Gorna Lipnitsa Association is it`s member, too and the art residence “The Old School” has its own place in the official site of the organization - http://www.resartis.org/index.php?id=20&tx_newloginbox_pi3[showUid]=1537.

            For a little more than a month time we received 27 applications from foreign artists and 23 from Bulgarian. There were candidatures from countries like Bulgaria, USA, Italy, Israel, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Hungary, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Brazil, Mexico, India, Canada, Ukraine, Poland and Romania. The participants will be chosen by a competition which jury will be the members of the Development for Gorna Lipnitsa Association and a guest-artist – Nia Pushkarova.(www.watertowerartfest.com). 10 artists will be chosen – four foreigners and six Bulgarian artists, three of which will be local artists.

The results for the chosen artists will be announced on 30th May 2010. Information about them will be published in the website of Gorna Lipnitsa and every artist will be informed personally.
